Why We Do What We Do

We are a club of bikers, in ministry for bikers. The Long Island hardcore biker community is by and large a segment of our society that has been mostly neglected by the Christian community in this area. Whether it is out of fear ,self -rightousness or just plain neglect, bikers have been outcasts to most people including Christians. Bikers as a rule make a life out of enjoying God's creation and freedom more than mainstream society. The feel of constant direct contact with the environment and it's elements, wind, sun, rain, cold, etc. give us a rush and an appreciation for God's creation that most never seem to grasp. The smell of blacktop after the rain, fresh cut grass, taking in the clouds, the stars, the sights cagers  neglect to appreciate. We don't care where we are going, it's the ride that matters. The attitude of total freedom, whether real or imagined, is a feeling most people never reach, but to a biker that's life as it should be. Unfortunately for most it is also a life of excess and self indulgence, which tends to be self destructive. Looking for the next dangerous road to conquer at a faster speed, a higher high, a better buzz,  life on the edge. You might not like them, but they also, like you, have bills , pay taxes. They have problems and have good days and bad days like we all do.

As with other biker clubs we are a brotherhood. We’ve got each other’s back, but most important, Jesus Christ has our back. He already took the punishment for us. We have a bond with our brothers in the club, but unlike secular clubs our bond will live into eternity. We are true blood brothers, joint heirs in the Kingdom through the Blood of the Lamb.

We long for more bikers to enter the kingdom, and that is our mission. Because nothing is better than the freedom that comes with the rubber to the road, the rumble of the engine, the wind in your face, the sun reflecting off your shades, and the feel of your ride. And once you belong to the King of kings and Lord of lords, that rush plus so much more is yours for eternity.
